Arepas are cornmeal cakes that originated hundreds of years ago in a region that now makes up Colombia, Venezuela, and Panama. Arepas are hand-made individually with corn meal, water, salt, and a smidge of butter. They are toasted on a skillet and finished in the oven. This dish has two Arepas -One comes with Burrata cheese, and the other comes with chicken, avocado, and mayonnaise filling. A salad of lettuce, tomatoes, hearts of palm, and a balsamic vinegar dressing accompanies this dish.

Ingredients: Corn flour, water, kosher salt, canola oil, chicken breast, white onions, red onions,  ground black pepper, cherry tomatoes, palm hearts, spring mix leaves, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, avocado, queso de mano (Venezuelan cheese), jalapeños, scallions, bell pepper, garlic, cilantro, parsley, mayonnaise, butter, and white vinegar
