Empanadas are Chile’s national food. They can be eaten as appetizers or as a main course. We will serve three large Empanadas that will fill you up for dinner. Two of them are Empanadas de Pino. They are the most popular ones in Chile, and their filling is a mix of ground beef, raisins, olives, mild spices, and boiled egg. The other is an Empanada de Camarón (Shrimp) that is also popular in Chile and is known for its seafood. I love both, but the shrimp one is my personal favorite, and I could eat those every day =) We will serve them with a traditional Chilean sauce called Pebre, which has a slight spice kick.
Add a note: Dairy-free and shellfish-free options are available with three beef empanadas.
