Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia rival each other for their deeply flavorful dishes. These countries share a number of commonalities in their cuisine and culture. This dish is served with a boiled egg, spicy sambal, fried peanuts, fried anchovies, and Malaysian fried chicken called Ayam Goreng.

Ingredients: Jasmine rice, coconut milk, lemongrass stalk, fried peanuts (optional), anchovies (separated), shallots, garlic, shrimp paste, red onions, hard-boiled eggs, sliced cucumber, red chili paste, chile arbol, tamarind puree, brown sugar,

Ayam Goreng (Fried Chicken): Chicken Thighs, fennel, coriander, cumin, shallots, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, turmeric, egg, canola oil
