Modje De Sao Nicolau is a delicious goat meat stew, that originates from the Cape Verdean island of São Nicolau. Chunks of goat meat are stewed with a variety of root vegetables that include yucca, sweet potatoes, squash, unripe bananas, and a lot of garlic. Its simple and distinct taste makes it my favorite Cape Verdean food of all time.
