Peruvian culture is a rich and beautiful blend of different cultures- Inca, Asian, Japanese, and European. All these cultures are naturally reflected in their food through spices, techniques, and flavors. Lomo Saltado began its origins on a quaint street - Calle La Concepcion in Lima - often referred to as Peru’s Barrio Chino. Lomo Saltado is a blend of Peruvian ingredients and traditional Chinese cooking techniques. It is a simple stir fry of beef strips with aji amarillo paste, tomatoes, and onions, mixed with crunchy french fries that soak up all the flavors!! This dish is served with a side of white rice and roasted corn with Salsa Huancaína.
A gluten-free option is available without Huancaína sauce. Add a note.
