This three-part meal is truly a treasured treat that delights your palette. It has no onion, ginger, or garlic. Poppy seeds, nigella seeds, bottle gourd, green chillis, and potato cooked in mustard oil is a traditional Bengali dish that is usually followed by a deep nap. This is paired with a ginger cumin Bangali style Moong daal. We always ate pan-fried small fish similar to anchovies or a large fish like cod along with the daal to add a touch of protein.
