Torta de Frango was introduced to us by our cook, Ellen, and loved by Khipi's long-time Brazilian customer, Fernando. Torta de Frango is a simple Brazilian pie made with shredded chicken breast, onions, tomato, green peas, and corn and cooked in a buttery/flaky crust that melts in your mouth! It is very simple and loved all over Brazil. We will serve this with a simple spring mix salad with hearts of Palm.
Ingredients: Chicken breast, chicken stock, onion, garlic, tomato, green peas, parsley, corn, butter, Gruyère cheese, flour, egg, salt, pepper, olive oil, pie crust. I Salad: Spring mix, cherry tomatoes, palm hearts, olive oil, honey, mustard, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
